WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT WHEN I CONTACT YOU?
I typically respond to all outreach within 24 hours. We will schedule a time to have a free phone consultation to see if we are a good fit. I will ask questions about the reason for the call, what you are looking for and when you are available. I will also answer any questions you might have. If we decide to work together, we will schedule an initial appointment and move forward from there.
DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE AND WHAT IS YOUR RATE?
The most important component when working with clients is that they feel safe and comfortable and not stressed by the cost of services. I offer a limited number of discounted rates and work with clients to come up with a plan that meets their individual needs. I do not accept insurance and don't do out-of-network billing. Payments are accepted in the forms of cash, check and Venmo and is due at the time of your visit.
HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?
Therapy sessions last 45-50 minutes. The last few minutes are spent taking notes for the session, making phone calls to other providers or preparing follow-up notes for the next session.
ARE PARENTS INVOLVED IN THE THERAPY SESSIONS?
For early childhood, teens and adolescents, parent involvement is crucial in the therapy process. Healing happens at the family level. I spend time connecting with caregivers at the beginning or end of each session. You will be involved and informed every step of the way!
ARE THERAPY SESSIONS AND CONSULTATIONS CONFIDENTIAL?
All of our communication is confidential. Everything that is said in session or in a consultation remains confidential with a few exceptions, such as an expressed intent to harm others, or a reported case of child or elder abuse, which will require action to ensure the safety of those at risk. In these instances, my hope is to work collaboratively with you so you remain an integral part of the healing process. However, if this is not possible, I will act independently.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
Therapy is most effective when attended on a regular basis but life happens and sometimes we need to cancel! If you need to cancel a session, please give at least 24 hours notice. Appointments canceled within 24 hours will be charged. You will have the option to reschedule for a different time that same week if there is availability.
